Julie has worked in education for over 37 years and has predominantly worked in the North East, where she has championed education within the region. 

Julie became a Headteacher in 2000 and as a National Leader of Education supported colleagues in a number of schools across the region. Julie remains passionate about the school led system and as Chief Executive Officer of Extol Trust, is driven by the responsibility as a Civic Leader

Since qualifying as a teacher in 2006, Christian has worked in several authorities across both the North West and North East. Christian has a long history of supporting initial teacher training programmes, starting with being on the ITT boards at both the Manchester Metropolitan University and Manchester University. 

Christian is excited about leading the SCITT programme across Extol schools and is looking forward to working with the next generation of teachers.
